It seems like ABA TECHSHOW 2022 came and went in a flash. The PracticePanther team was thrilled to see all the preparation and anticipation come to fruition last week. Our team had the opportunity to meet in person with vendors, PracticePanther customers, and legal professionals to discuss advancements in the legal industry and witness the exciting developments within PracticePanther that continue to influence positive change on how the law is practiced. 

Whether you weren’t able to attend ABA TECHSHOW this year or simply need a refresher on all the great events you took in last week, we created this recap to provide you with our key takeaways, favorite moments, trends, and next steps following TECHSHOW. 

Education was key

The education sessions are one of the most attractive benefits of ABA TECHSHOW. Attendees learn from legal industry leaders and legal technology experts with the expectation that they’ll walk away with relevant tools to better manage their practice. These sessions weren’t limited to just legal technology either. To have a successful practice, attendees learned that all aspects of their business need to thrive. From building a diverse, equal culture among teams, mental health awareness, and managing burnout — a law practice isn’t complete without nurturing its team and creating spaces for them to be successful. 

It came as no surprise that outside of technology-focused sessions, topics on culture and leadership were popular among attendees. As the legal industry continues to adopt modern technology and practices, an emphasis must also be placed on how firms manage and lead the next generation of lawyers that the new legal landscape will cater to. 

For the last two years, ABA TECHSHOW was virtual, so our team was thrilled to finally be back in person to connect with the legal tech community and engage with our customers in a more natural setting. Long-standing customers, customers with whom we had built relationships during the pandemic, and those who were curious about PracticePanther had the opportunity to meet the team and the personalities behind the product.

We announced new ways to partner with PracticePanther

We’re growing and we want to take you with us! At ABA TECHSHOW, we gave attendees a first look into our new affiliate programs. Through these programs, legal professionals can send referrals to PracticePanther to earn commissions along with other exclusive perks to increase their brand visibility. We made referring business to PracticePanther simple. Participants can start earning commission on our Simple Referral Program and can apply to advance to the next level as a Preferred Partner once they submit 3 closed referrals. 

In addition to our new affiliate program, we revamped the PracticePanther law school partnership program. We understand the value of having real-world experiences in the classroom.
