Partion

In real property law, a court-ordered division of real property, typically property that is held in a joint tenancy or as tenants in common. Although the partition can be carried out by the physical division of the property, more commonly the property is sold and the cash proceeds are distributed to the parties. Any co-owner of real property has the right to demand partition.
